City Team Ministries

Thanks to everyone’s generosity our campaign drive to help radio station 104.1 FM (The Fish) raise canned food, house household cleaning and school supplies for City Team Ministries in Portland, Oregon was very successful. Even our Vacation Bible School students chose to help. Again thank you so much, everyone for supporting this worthy project!

City Team Ministries has been compassionately caring for the homeless. More than meals and clothing, CTM is focused on helping individuals lead self-sufficient, productive and satisfying lives. This is accomplished through commitment to long-term programs such as recovery, counseling, education and life skills training.

Ezekiel 37 Project

The Ezekiel 37 Project is a program that trains people from churches close to local high schools to be mentors with high school youth who are having serious problems (such as depression) has asked one of our members to mentor a young lady. Ask God to give wisdom as this young lady is counseled to take school and her other activities seriously. With school starting soon several other members from our church who took the training will probably be asked to serve.  Please do remember this ministry in your prayers.

“Walk and Knock”

The annual “Walk and Knock” for food banks is asking for our help to organize this year’s event. Every year they meet to fold bags to insert into the newspapers. This will take place at the Stop Hunger Warehouse 7509 NE 47th Ave on November 21, 2009. Starting at 8:00 a.m. they will fold for 3 to 4 hours. Then on Saturday, December 5th they will walk and knock to receive food from those willing to donate nonperishable food.
