We all need heroes – people who inspire us by their great accomplishments in the face of staggering odds. Our lives are filled with tremendous problems, and the examples of people who overcame similar problems give us hope.

I’m glad to believe a Bible and participate in a church that has great heroes – Abraham and David; George Fox and Jack Willcuts. In January & February our sermons will spotlight various Quaker Heroes and the hope we gain from their stories of struggle and success.

 But we all need to be heroes, as well. What challenge in your life requires courage and determination?  People are watching you – will you inspire them?
